The East v/s West

There are many contrasting differences between cultures but on a global level of differentiation, and one thats the largest strikes the mind first,

The East v/s The West,

Life is so enormously large and complex that not many have the capability to fully comprehend. Actually, I dont believe anyone other than the Budhha has a clear understanding, although some have come close to it at sometime.

The East has been the clear leader of the pack so far as spirituality and self-realization is concerned. Believing and living to attain liberation is the most sought after lifestyle here and has evolved mainly through religion. But one gets to understanding the full potential of religion by faith and not by using formulas of science. Yet, armed with all that great knowledge the east sees rampant poverty, starvation, creation of more homeless and downtrodden human lives.

The West is known for it's ingenuity, skill of trade and almost everythingelse that goes into making our living world a better place. Now, human beings can procure food, water and shelter with much ease, travel over continents swiftly and in general progress toward a life of luxuries. Technology has become an integral part of their lives and threatens to replace the very spiritual core in everyone. To replace that which dominates the lives of people in the east and that too with scientific formulas is impossible. Society is happily becoming the biggest farce.

The East and The West have got to switch formulas to make this world a real place for real life and real beings. The west needs more synchronization with spirituality and the east needs to be more pragmatic. Sharing of knowledge and distribution of wealth is the only way human beings can get closer to experiencing heaven on earth.
