Life goes on no matter what happens.
As catastrophic and devastating the event may seem until one loses their life in these events life will go on. Tomorrow never dies until you do.
To cope with the extreme impact and changes and to ensure balance at all times we must work tirelessly to ensure we have BCP plans in place.....emotional BCP.
Coping with emotional stress is an art form. Have a BCP for every situation we face may be a herculean task however if we get the fundamentals of BCP right then you can build any number of coping mechanisms over it.
The foundation for a titanium type BCP for emotions comes from deep within. We forget to nuture this core to its full potential and that's why we struggle when we get hit with a devastating life event.
Take any event....death of kin for example, it's such a hard one to cope with and almost every time it happens people offer support, guidance and solutions but every single time it's the individual who has to chose to stand up and make the choice to move on ....not just move on but move on without compromising ones own balance of life.
So paying attention to our inner voice and instinct is paramount during tough times.
Every solution and answer we seek is readily available but we have to be aware that are available and the only way to do that is to constantly be in touch with ones true self.
If a BCP plan fails then we look at mending it in a way that the second time around it will work. This requires introspection and courage to acknowledge our own misgivings.
